Please arrive 30 minutes early for check-in on your first day of Tryouts/Evaluations.
To clairfy the following teams will participate in either Evaluations or Tryouts:
’06 – ’02 = Evaluations *
’01 – ’94 = Tryouts *
Location- Crossroads Park - On the West side of Greenfield Road, South of Warner Road

This fee covers AZSC’s costs for field and light rentals, insurance and a try out t-shirt. Fee is non-refundable*.
Players attending from other clubs before May 1st must have their club’s permission to participate
Thunder T-shirt MUST be worn at EVERY tryout day attended. If your Thunder T- shirt is lost or forgotten, a new T-shirt must be purchased for $15 at check-in booth. A new assigned number will be issued. Please keep your child’s assigned number handy as that number will be needed for you to access information on team assignments.
For a returning Thunder player to register for Try Outs, they MUST be current on their 2011 – 2012 Thunder dues by March 30th, 2012. NO EXCEPTIONS! YOUR PLAYER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD IF THERE IS AN OUTSTANDING BALANCE OWED.
If you are injured, but wish to try out, please attend with a doctor’s note stating your injury. Upon your return, you must provide a doctor’s release. You will then be evaluated at that time.
Please make sure to wear shin guards to each practice and have your name in fresh marker on your ball and water bottle.
Players will be directed to their field from the check in tables. We are asking ALL parents to stay on the top fields during tryouts. You are welcome to view tryouts from the hill. Please do NOT approach the coaches before or during the sessions. NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD.
Prospective Thunder Players:
Please register by clicking here. The registration link is in the Thunder Competitive Academy box. On the first day of Try Outs for your age bracket, please bring your $15 tryout fee. Check in is by last name. At the Check In table, you will receive your Try Out t-shirt and will be assigned a number. Players will be directed to their field from the check in tables.
Your player will NOT be allowed to be on the field if they do not have shin guards on. Please bring a ball with their name clearly marked on it as well as a water bottle with their name clearly marked.
We are asking ALL parents to stay on the top fields during tryouts. You are welcome to view tryouts from the hill. Please do NOT approach the coaches before or during the sessions. NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD.
Once rosters are posted, parents may go to the web site and view the posted rosters. To find your son/daughter, click on the appropriate age division and find your player’s number. You may see a specific team or a wait list. One week prior to try outs, coaches will be posted for each age division. (Coaches subject to change based on team formations).
We will be enforcing our NO PAY, NO PRACTICE, NO PLAY policy. If your player’s account is not current, he/she WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to train with the team or play any games, tournaments, team activities, or scrimmages, until the account is current.
During the months of May – July, Thunder training sessions are optional, yet highly recommended for all rostered Thunder players. The first practice for the newly selected Thunder teams will be on Tuesday June 5th. Practice will be every Tuesday and Thursday through the end of July. Our first official practice day will be Thursday, August 2nd(location TBD).
Our Thunder summer program will be composed of activities such as futsal, sand soccer, fitness, indoor games, tournaments, technical sessions, and team building activities. More details to follow soon.
